Community Resilience Practice

PracticeThe Community and Regional Resilience Institute (CARRI) works directly with communities who desire to collaborate with the CARRI team to increase their resilience across all sectors of the community. Currently, CARRI is working with our three partner communities of Gulfport, Mississippi, Charleston/Tri-County Area, South Carolina and the Memphis, Tennessee Urban Area.

We will continue the community partnerships with our three original partner communities while reaching out to other regional partners and communities with tailored programs designed to launch them onto a resilience pathway. As communities go through the CARRI process to move toward resilience we will learn things in the Institute which will feed research and also identify things that are not known in communities. Additionally, CARRI is finalizing a community implementation package that provides the basic materials to enable a community to understand and take ownership of the CARRI process with ongoing Institute guidance and mentoring.
